1924 Packard Motor Car ad in black and white with headline " Supreme-Air, Land And Water" . Shows Car, Boat, Seaplane PN-9 and Airship Shenandoah. Approximate size is 6 1/2 x 10 " .Ad states "Packard Motors drove the giant Navy dirigible Shenandoah on its record-breaking flight of 8100 miles. 1933-34 VF Flight cover for NY - Rome interrupted flight, signed by the two pilots, C. Sabelli and Captain G.R. Pond. The flight was delayed several months due to weather conditions. Postmarked Oct. 16 1933 City Hall Annex and then Nov. 1 1933 Brooklyn NY. Shepshead Bay and again Jan 4 1934 and May 13 1934. The flight left May 15 for Rome but due to engine troubles, the aviators landed in Ireland. The cover was backstamped Leact CI Concubair, May 15 1934. It was then mailed back to the US from England where and additional 1 1/2 p G.B. franking was affixed and cancelled Jun 7 1934. Arrived in NY and backstamped June 16. Quite and interesting cover!!
